CHEM 3401 Z — Organic Chemistry I

Introduces the fundamental concepts of structure and reactivity of organic compounds. Topics covered include the chemistry of alkanes, alkyl halides, alkenes, and alcohols, as well as the concepts of reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry and spectroscopy of organic compounds. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" in either CHEM 1212K, or CHEM 1212 and CHEM 1212L.
