Principles and applications from mechatronics are reinforced through student-conducted experiments. Practical techniques to analyze, design, and control mechatronic systems are used. Case studies are examined to illustrate how engineers address problems encountered in practice. Topics include measurement and instrumentation, electric circuits and electronics, electric power fundamentals, analog signal processing, digital circuits, microcontroller programming and interfacing, data acquisition, sensors, actuators, and mechatronic system design. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" in ENGR 2131, (MENG 2139 or ENGR 2139), and ENGR 3233.
