Candidates will explore the social, educational, economic, and political structures of globalization and the resulting impact on the mission and vision for higher education. Candidates will review major works on how higher education around the world has changed as a result of globalization and how higher education in the United States will meet the challenge to internationalize. Participants will focus on analysis of educational issues on a worldwide basis with opportunities to focus on a particular country and analysis of qualitative research methods as used in cross-cultural and comparative education studies. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Higher Education Administration (M.Ed. or Ed.D) program.
