In this course you will learn the accounting knowledge and techniques needed to improve your organization’s performance. In the first part of the course, you will learn how accounting rules and choices significantly impact financial reporting and disclosures, and the importance of the audit and attest functions in substantiating such information. In the second part of the course, you will learn how to use accounting-based analytics and techniques to enhance your operating, tactical and strategic decision making. In the final part of the course, you will explore selected leading-edge advances in accounting and financial reporting to evaluate their impact on your organization’s future. Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing and permission of MBA Director.
