Surveys aspects of a range of addictions and educates students about the process of addictions including skills and strategies needed to provide addictions counseling. Addresses the role counselors, teachers, and other professionals can play in prevention, treatment, and the recovery process including community resources. Prerequisite(s): Permission from the instructor is required for students not accepted into the COUN program.
