Topics include the scientific method, organic macromolecules, cell structure and function, respiration, photosynthesis, cell division, and the flow of information from DNA to proteins. Requires a minimum grade of C to serve as prerequisite to higher-level BIOL courses. Prerequisite(s): Prior or concurrent enrollment in all of the following: ENGL 1101, and MATH 1001 or MATH 1101 or MATH 1111.
