This course provides an examination of family violence with specific focus on child abuse, intimate partner violence, and elder abuse. Attention centers on the nature, prevalence, causes, consequences, as well as on responses by social service agencies and the criminal justice system for each form of violence occurring within the family. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" or better in CRJU 1100.
