An intensive and critical analysis of the normative and deviant use of various substances with emphasis placed on substance use, misuse, and abuse within a framework integrating the psychological, social, and biological aspects of substance use throughout history, including stimulant, depressant, hallucinogenic, and psychotherapeutic drugs. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" in PSYC 1101.
