This course examines internationally documented health disparities experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) individuals. An emphasis will be placed on health promotion and prevention of infectious diseases. This course critically examines health disparities and provides the health professions student with culturally competent resources for health promotion in this vulnerable population. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" in ENGL 1101.
