Topics include the scientific method, organic macromolecules, cell structure and function, respiration, photosynthesis, cell division, and the flow of information from DNA to proteins. Requires a minimum grade of C to enroll in higher-level BIOL courses. Prerequisite(s): Prior or concurrent enrollment in all of the following: BIOL 1107L, ENGL 1101, and MATH 1001 or higher.
