An introduction to the major theories and research related to the nature and role of culture in classroom instruction. Students will demonstrate and apply knowledge of the impact of dynamic academic, personal, familial, cultural, social, and sociopolitical contexts on the education and language acquisition of ELs as supported by research and theories. Prerequisite(s): Completion of EDUC 2090, a minimum grade of āCā in EDUC 2110, EDUC 2120, and EDUC 2130, and admission to the Teacher Education Program.
