Provides an overview of the juvenile justice system and juvenile jurisprudence. Examines the development of the juvenile justice system and treatment of juveniles in civil and criminal justice systems. Additional topics include examination of theoretical frameworks and correlates of juvenile delinquency as well as strategies aimed at reducing and preventing delinquency. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" CRJU 1100.
