This course covers basic concepts and techniques of business analytics, including descriptive and predictive analytics. The course will approach analytics from the perspective of solving problems using data and analytics to achieve better outcomes. A variety of analytical techniques will be presented ranging from traditional statistical methodologies through modern analytics. Emphasis will be on the interpretation of the analytical results and how business analytics are used to improve outcomes. Analysis is done using computer-based analytical tools. Data and examples from various business disciplines will be used. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of "C" in MATH 1232 or MATH 1112 or MATH 1113 or MATH 1441 or a minimum grade of "B" in MATH 1111.
