This course emphasizes basic concepts and techniques of predictive and prescriptive analytics. Analytical techniques may include regression analysis, forecasting, decision theory, and optimization models. The course will approach analytics from the perspective of solving problems using computer-based analytical tools on data and models from a variety of business disciplines. Emphasis will be on the interpretation of the analytical results and how business analytics are used to improve outcomes. Prerequisite(s): Completion of BUSA 3131.
