Topics include: the history, development, and current status of law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections in the U.S.; the philosophical, economic, and socio-political aspects of the criminal justice system and processes; individual rights and public order; an introduction to the juvenile justice system; theories of crime causation; and special issues such as drugs, mental health and public policy.
